Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of more than a hundred cannabinoids in cannabis. There have been a wide range of benefits and uses discovered for CBD over the years. Because CBD is non-psychoactive, it won’t make you high.

THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol, the main compound found in marijuana plants. THC is what gives marijuana its psychoactive properties or “high” effects.

Some CBD products do contain THC but must contain less than 0.3% THC to be legal according to federal law. All CBD products sold at Hemp Hood CBD are tested by the brand owner to ensure they contain under 0.3% of THC before they can be sold here.

After the US Federal government passed the Farm Bill in December 2018, it was taken off of the list of controlled substances and moved to the regulation of the FDA, instead of the DEA. This makes CBD legal as long as it is sourced from industrial hemp and does not contain more than 0.3% THC. Ours contains 0%.
